Een mysterieuze brief nodigt je uit om in the State Prison, een executie bij te wonen van ene J Blackwire. Met knikkende knieën loop je de gevangenis binnen. Wat is hier eerder gebeurd? Wie heeft hier eerder gezeten? En is iedereen het wel eens met de dingen die hier gebeuren of zijn er mensen aanwezig die het tegenwerken? Al snel blijkt dat jullie bezoek heel anders zal lopen dan vooraf gepland.
Je hoeft je geen zorgen te maken, want je komt enkel een executie van iemand anders bij wonen, toch……?

For us, this is one of the best prison escape rooms we've played so far. The puzzles and tasks all fit the setting well and are challenging enough that you really need all your time. We would have preferred more elaborate clues that also fit the setting. In this context, the room remains rather traditional. The acting is well done, but could have been used in more places, thus increasing the tension. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the many puzzles so much that we can definitely recommend the room.

Huge sense of adventure as you try to escape the prison complex. Really enjoyed the creative use of space in this game and the very immersive / slightly freaky intro. The puzzles were also very in fitting with the theme (except one that didn’t really make sense) and one towards the end was particularly satisfying and impressive to solve. Thoroughly enjoyed!

The Escape Room Rijswijk offers four different scenarios. THE HANGOVER, JACK THE RIPPER and JASON’S CURSE in the older location (Verrijn Stuartlaan 50) and the recently opened THE EXECUTION at the new location (Diepenhorstlaan 11C) where there is still plenty of room for more escape games. I can’t wait to see .

The Execution is a prison scenario that breaks out of the conventional prison settings. We experienced many new technical elements and were surprised how elaborately effective an escape can be staged. Despite the slight weaknesses in the puzzle management, we experienced a familiar scenario that has been impressively developed further. We unreservedly recommend a stay in The Execution at State Prison.


Die ein oder andere harte Kopfnuss ist hier durchaus auch dabei, so dass sich The Execution vor allem für Rätselfüchse lohnt, zumal die Geschichte am Ende doch sehr in den Hintergrund rückt. Das ändert aber nichts daran, dass wir zum Finale hochgradig unterhalten waren.
