Some parts of this room are a little less interesting requiring just looking around for things that were hard to spot because it was quite dark, as opposed to being difficult because the puzzles themselves were difficult. However overall the room was fun to play and the ending was an extra fun little puzzle.
Good things: Most of the puzzles were fun and creative.
Less good things: The experience wasn't very immersive. The mechanics felt a bit heavy, and the room was worn out. You had to be very precise when solving puzzles. We were somewhat disappointed, especially after having tried their renowned Secret Subway Escape Room.
Story/Theme: The theme was Santa Muerte, the Mexican Day of the Dead. While it had great potential, it wasn't executed very well.
Puzzles: Most of the puzzles were enjoyable and creative, though there were a few that I didn't like. The book provided at the beginning was meant to help solve some puzzles and keep track of time, but the timer didn’t work. The book contained pieces of paper with hints, which felt very low-tech. It could have been much cooler if the book had been more magical, such as a tablet that updated as we solved the puzzles. Additionally, the puzzles had to be solved in a linear way, which made it a bit boring. I prefer when multiple puzzles can be worked on simultaneously.
Room/Decorations: I was disappointed with the room design. It didn't feel like it was of high quality, and much of it seemed homemade. While there were a few cool details, the overall experience was lacking. The animals printed on the walls were of poor quality and appeared pixelated, which detracted from the immersion.
Hosting/Company/Hints: The staff was friendly. However, the method for getting hints was very manual—you had to speak up or wave at the cameras. I prefer systems where you can press a button or use other automated methods to receive hints.
Difficulty: The difficulty is rated 3/5 on their website, which seems accurate. The puzzles weren't overly challenging, but sometimes extra time was needed because of the need for precision.
Photos: You are not allowed to take photos while playing, but you can have a team photo inside the room in the end.
Some fun puzzles, nothing incredible but an fun and enjoyable game.
Some very good memories of this game, some very unique aspects and well worth adding to your list.
Superfun game! I played with my mother and my boyfriend and we enjoyed everything, the theme, the story, the puzzles. The Game Master was very nice and the end of the game is amazing.
