Little is known about the Cromwell’s family massacre that occurred on the night of Friday 13th November 1970. History says, Mr Cromwell bought his wife a unique pendant for their wedding anniversary. Unbeknown to him, this pendant was possessed with the most demonic of spirits, making him horrifically take the lives of his wife, two children and then himself. With the echoing sounds of screams and sightings of the dead family, the house lay untouched and derelict. Many are too fearful to enter after the harrowing paranormal stories that have been told. It is thought, if the pendant can be found and removed from the house before the sun rises on the anniversary of the massacre, The Cromwell’s will be exorcised from the house, but those who fail, they too will be massacred at the hands of Mr Cromwell and his family. It isn’t known what goes on behind the doors of this house, many have gone to investigate, but all that have entered, have never returned. Do you think you have what it takes to save the house from this unhinged possessed family?

Standout game from escape Kent! The build on this game was the first we had really seen on this scale and boy did it get the immersion going! The game plays really well with the puzzles and movement throughout really bringing the story to life! Plenty of surprises on the way leading to an intense climax to a fantastic game!

In Short:
Really good room and all round amazing experience. Customer service was the best we've experienced at an escape room. The room itself was challenging enough without feeling like it was too difficult to progress. Definitely recommended, in our top 3 rooms so far
Host:
Dan warmly greeted us upon our arrival and chatted until our games host was ready for us. Our games host was Ro and she was just as amazing. Explained storyline with enthusiasm and had a laugh and joke as well. Was there and ready if we did need any clues (we didnt) but also debriefed well and had a good convosation at the end, after our game.
Well themed spooky room with some nice scary moments. The narrative is evident throughout the adventure and leads to a very thematic and satisfying finale. My only niggle with this room was a rather hard and uncomfortable crawl.... it was a very short crawl, but my knees still protested.
There's a couple of good jump scares but nothing that should put you off, theming is on point coupled with some puzzles that will test how well you were paying attention earlier.
Another good room from EscapeKent with great themeing and set design. An abundance of puzzles that flow with the theme and small jumps here and there to add a creepy factor. Transition to rooms is accomplished well and the ending is fun.
It’s often hard to know when booking a game with a spooky theme whether it’s going to be mildly creepy or sixty minutes of terror. But most nervous players should be fine with The Haunting - the fear factor here shouldn’t go above a degree of apprehension.
It’s currently the top rated of the games at Escape Kent, and it was clear why: the set starts well and improves. I find it a good sign when, partway through a game, I find I’ve lost awareness of where I am in relation to the outside world, w...
