Our Battleship escape room sends players into combat on a submarine. You’ll need to become familiar with the main features of the vessel. You will have the opportunity to use a periscope with a built-in Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, operate the command centre, and inspect the submarine’s nuclear reactor. This is a demanding game, with real suits and hardware. You will see many dials and buttons. Battleship is suitable for mixed-gender teams, and requires you to make the right decisions. It’s a great way to bring people closer together and develop teamwork.

This was sold to be very high tech, but the VR system was very out-of-date, and gave the Z-axis when this made it harder to use. On the face of the game, it looked great. There was a dangerous vertical ladder. There was no flow to the game. It was set in the past but mentioned the Internet. There were things to prise open, something you are expressly forbidden from doing in normal games.
The set for this room was very immersive and did get us feeling excited when we entered, fantastic theming and that sense of a great game being ahead of us.
However… The game flow and puzzles did not feel very logical, and we were left confused for most of our experience despite completing puzzles correctly. Towards the end of our game one of the puzzles wasn’t working correctly either, which added further to our confusion and lead to the games master having to intervene to fix it.

Our second game here and likely our last. The staff talk about how impressive the technology is, it's not. It's VR from 10 years ago. The set is incredible. The flow and the game is not.

Really techy and fun room. Best one I have seen tbh. Loved the flow and unique setup.
Very impressive build quality, tech level and immersion, with some nice touches. Sometimes the game flow didn’t feel very logical and there was one puzzle in particular where the solution seemed a bit random.
Venue has no customer toilets which was a minor annoyance, with all the money they’ve obviously spent on the rooms you’d think they could manage to install a toilet...
