Your friend has been murdered! You know who did it, but the police do not believe you. In a desperate attempt to find justice you have invaded the killer's lair in the hopes of finding the proof to bring the killer to justice. However, the maniac could return at any time. Gather the proof and send this killer to prison before he returns. Do you have what it takes to IDENTIFY this psychopath's other victims?

On the website, you're supposedly invading a
killer's lair to find proof that they murdered your friend. In the room,
though, I remember the mission being to find out who the psychopath has killed
as well as where and how the victims died. I'm not sure why the stories don't
add up.
Puzzles
Considering it's a
3-star room, there were many red herrings. Soon after our game started, the Game
Operator reappeared and placed something on a desk- in plain sight. Afterwards,
it became clear that this object should have been hidden i.e. inaccessible
until the drawer it belongs in was unlocked. As a result, we struggled to link
its use to another article we acquired, instead wasting time trying to apply it
to other places in the room. Also, when attempting the final puzzle, we were later told that it
isn't possible to view it on the staff's camera, which isn't very reassuring.
Mise-en-scène
If I went
into the room without being told the story, I wouldn't have said it's a psychopath's
lair. It was just a study leading on to one or two further areas. Generic and forgettable.
Final Comments
It
actually seemed like we had won, only for us to be told otherwise! Admittedly, we
did require a fair few clues, so a victory didn't really seem within reach. I
have had more enthusiastic Game Operators.

This is a traditional escape room but with a slightly more unique concept of solving the different elements of the crime. With multiple rooms and integrating Chester's setting into the game, this was a fun, sleuthy game which was enjoyable but not particularly challenging.
Again, a fun enough room from Breakout, but slightly dated set design and puzzles (like Vacancy). The story was a bog-standard murder mystery, not bad just not great.
A nicely themed room with a great central puzzle the game revolves around. At times, we felt some of the puzzles didnβt flow as nicely as they could have done, but all in all it was an enjoyable game.
