New UK escape rooms March 2026

By | March 31, 2026

Ah, March, the season for daffodils, primroses – and escape rooms. It’s Easter this weekend, get booking! In case you need inspiration, here’s this month’s list of new escape games:

Greater London

🎭 Boom Lab is a new challenge arcade style experience near Old Street.

🔒 Peckham gets a little more scary with the opening of Ravenwood Asylum, the fourth game from Horror Escape.

🔒 The latest game from the ever-prolific Room Lockdown Hornchurch is a return to one of their traditional themes, Prison Escape.

Also new, from last month’s update:
🔒 Escape London (Islington) (Central London): 221 Baker Street, Alice, Flying Dutchman, Magic Emporium
🔒 RADA (Central London): Little’s Lost Letter
🔒 Screamworks (East London): The Briefcase

South East England

🔒 First of a few venues that I’d missed when they originally opened: Aylesbury Escape Rooms is a branch of Know Escape and is running one of the group’s favourite games, Crazy Cat Lady. Note that they’re unrelated to the previous Aylesbury Escape Rooms, which was a branch of now-closed VIRE.

🔒 The Heist is a robbery room now open at CTRL ALT ESC in Margate, where your goal is to thieve a set of gold bars from a vault.

🔒 Escape Windsor swapped out their Caved In game for Avalanche; the new one is a full 60 mins, and is designed as a split team game where one half of the group is trying to rescue the other.

🐣 Exciting Escapes have opened an Easter pop-up at their Basingstoke branch, The Grouch Who Stole Easter!.

🔒 In Alton, Hampshire, Immersion Escape Rooms opened a WW2-themed room Blitz. This is the first game for their Parallax concept, with another 15 (!) games planned to share the same space – presumably with a system for rapidly rotating the theme and puzzles.

🔒 Mythologic’s new fear game is now open; Lilith involves supernatural horror, a haunted house, and live acting.

🐣 Another Easter experience is popping up at TimeQuest in Paddock Wood: Bunny Vale looks like a big basket of eggs and cuteness.

Last call for:
❗️ Mythologic Escape Rooms (Gillingham): The Greatest Bank Heist (closing 12th April)

Channel Islands

🎭 MTG Escapes in Guernsey will be running a one-day puzzle event called Cluemanji on 09 May for the island’s Liberation Day, which will involve several hours of driving and solving.

South West England

🔒 The latest branch of Houdini’s is in Exeter, with three of the chain’s usual rooms: Apocalypse: Shelter 23, Room 13, and Temple Raider.

🔒 Co-Decode will shortly open Pieces of Eight, a table-top style experience partly based on their previous Captain’s Treasure rental experience – but with approximately 50% new puzzles. It sounds like there’s also a sequel in the works, along similar lines.

🔒 Housetrap’s Indian Queens location has now opened new room Tomb; this one is Indiana Jones style adventure with a quest for a mystical mask.

🔒 About to open in Weston-super-mare is a new spy mission at Lock & Code Escape Rooms, named The Archives.

Also new, from last month’s update:
🔒 Arcadia Escape Rooms Bournemouth: Slaughter House
🔒 Escapism Plymouth: Dig
🔒 Hidden Valley Discovery Park (Launceston): The Study

West Midlands

🔒 Alderford Escape Islands added two more games to their line-up for 2026, with Moonshine After Dark and The Lost Pharaoh.

🔒 Save Sugarvale is a sweet-toothed new room at Escape Quests in Ross-on-Wye, in which you need to find the five Sacred Gummy Bears. No word on whether you can then eat them. 😉

🔒 The Commandery in Worcester have opened a second room named The Servant’s Secret, a mystery with a period setting. (They’ve also renamed their previously self-titled room to The King’s Seal.)

Also new, from last month’s update:
🔒 Breakout Escape Experience Merry Hill (Birmingham): Da Vinci, Gates of Atlantis
🔒 Chase The Adventure (Stone): Be Mine Forever

Last call for:
❗️ Top Escape Rooms closes on the 6th April (although the company remains open at Hereford Escape Rooms).

East Midlands

🔒 Chesterfield Escape Rooms, part of the Know Escape group, will soon open prison escape game The Inside Job.

Also new, from last month’s update:
🔒 Trapp’d Chester House (Wellingborough): Rewind

East of England

🔒 The No Work Club opened in Peterborough, following the original branch in Lincoln. They have three rooms: The Mirror, Time, and – this one played in total darkness – Medusa.

🔒 The ominous artwork on Funky Snake Escape’s new game The Order doesn’t indicate a horror game; rather, you’re undergoing the initiation trials to join a shadowy secret society, if you can prove you’re worthy.

🔒 Escape Ipswich have re-opened submarine room Sub Zero, which I believe hasn’t been available at the venue since 2024.

Also new, from last month’s update:
🔒 Dread State (Ipswich): Hell House
🔒 Escape Hunt Colchester: Alice in Puzzleland, Blackbeard’s Treasure, Curse of the Pharaoh, Dracula, Journey to Atlantis
🔒 Keylock Games (Wickford): The Ward

Last call for:
❗️ Hourglass Escapes Downham Market: When In Vegas (closing 19 Apr)

North West England

From last month’s update:
🔒 Breakout Chester: Crimson Lake Motel
🔒 The Ice Cream Farm (Tattenhall): Funfair Frenzy

Yorkshire and the Humber

🔒 Famed for their horror game Operation Clearsafe, Project Breakout in Brighouse have now opened new (non-scary) room Dr. Ruben Cubix’s Antique Emporium.

North East England

🔒 A second one I missed when it opened: Just In Tyne Escape have been open in Newcastle since last August with The Detention, and have now launched A Brief Case plus unlock-all-you-can challenge Chain Lock Challenge.

Scotland

🔒 And a third: Closeburn Escape Rooms is another branch of Know Escape, operating far from their usual area, with four of the group’s classics: An Hour To Kill, Christmas Candy Chaos, Crazy Cat Lady, and The Last Testament.

🔒 An advance heads-up that the Bell Pettigrew Museum of Natural History in St Andrews will run Code to the Crown this summer, a pop-up inspired by Mary Queen of Scots.

🔒 Riddle Rooms in Glasgow now offer a Burns Room Teens version of their Burns Room game, for teenagers.

Northern Ireland

From last month’s update:
🔒 Forbidden Quest (Belfast): The Collector
