Had higher hopes for this game to be honest. The concept was alright, but the delivery was just a bit meh. The set was decent, but bits of it took you out of the immersion completely. Particularly, english translations for things were just stuck over the top and kept falling off; just felt very low quality.

The puzzles were its weakest point. Most either had basic instructions to follow or just reading a code, or had no signposting at all and were often illogical. There were a couple of better puzzles and some unique physical puzzles, but the props and set felt quite tired. However, the game used the space well and had a good sense of adventure, plus some cool tech later on.

For one of the best rated games in the world, I expected a lot better and left a bit disappointed

Mad Mansion is considered a quality label in northern Spain. They have several locations in the Basque Country, Navarra and Aragon. Immersive escape games on various themes and genres based on video games or movies like Metal Gear Solid, Rainbow Six, Dino Crysis, Castlevania, Monkey Island, The Day of the Tentacle, Assassin’s Creed, Resident Evil, Silent Hill or Tomb Raider are offered in Bilbao, Santurtzi, Vitoria, Pamplona, Zaragoza, Basauri and Toledo.

Dragonborn: The Innkeeper’s Son offers an adventure with a cinematic fantasy story unlike anything we’ve experienced in an Escape Room. With moments that were unique to us in their own way and ideas that made us marvel. At the same time, we wondered why more effort wasn’t put into making an almost perfect adventure just perfect. Dragonborn: The Innkeeper’s Son would have had the potential to be a 10/10 Escape Adventure for us. We were a bit disappointed by the previously mentioned details such as the digital number pads, the phone in the room, the inaccurate setting, and even the somewhat anticlimactic finale.
