quite difficult
Rooms were very built very well with theme and immersive (I work in a lab, I'm not sure if that's a good or bad bias). Puzzles felt very integratd into the room, were challenging and the steps to them were quite involved. The use of screens and announcements for hints and timers were really great. Only hinted when were clearly struggling and kept it fun. Drove a feeling of chaos with its story very well, and definitely rewarded paying attention and having a keen eye for the details.

Two fun games from one of the better companies in Newcastle. Volatile Laboratories was probably impressive in its time but didn't excite me that much while Fiorella's cave was a really good experience let down by a couple of tedious puzzles.
Newcastle is home to quite a few escape rooms and on todays agenda was Volatile Laboratories at Exit Newcastle. The venue is really easy to find and whilst there is on street parking, it's a max one hour stay, we advise that people planning to go find a car park nearby, but it is really easy to walk to. We arrived and were greeted by our host and the general chit chat happened with the usual have you played before. He then said it was time for our room to begin and he showed us into the lab. He explained the room and then shut the door. The screen played and our game begun.
