Whispers of the Cursed Carnival have haunted the town since it abruptly closed after a group of teenagers vanished without a trace. For over a decade, the site has been left to rot—until now. Recently, locals have reported strange lights flickering and eerie music playing between 11 PM and midnight. When the police were called to investigate, they found only chilling silence.
You arrive just before 11 PM, heart racing with anticipation. Suddenly, the carnival springs to life—the lights blaze, the haunting music fills the air, and the gates slam shut behind you with a bone-jarring thud. You’re trapped.
As the vibrant colours dance in the darkness, a sense of dread creeps over you. In the shadows, you catch a glimpse of something watching, lurking, waiting.
Can you unravel the dark secrets of the carnival and uncover what happened to the missing teenagers before you too are swallowed by its sinister grip? The clock is ticking, and with each passing second, the shadows draw closer. Time is not on your side…

Great host!
Let me preface this with I have done rooms with live actors before and although scary, they have been fun because the actors themselves have been fun.
However, on entering the escape room premises we were greeted by our host, who was rude disorganised and honestly gave me such a bad vibe, i then realised this was the guy who was going to be the live actor.
The room it self was ok although a bit too dark to be able to see some of the clues. I had such a bad feeling about the guy we ended up asking for there to be no live actor. I felt so uneasy in there.
We did complete the room, it was ok although was a little illogical. This and the other rooms we completed at this premises have put me off using Houdini anywhere else is future.
Thoroughly enjoyed this room and this was in no small part due to the great hosting skills of Molly (or Clown!). A fun range of fairground games with more expected puzzles as well with the added bonus of a hint system of a live actor 'scary' clown coming in to silently assist. All credit to Molly for the top quality acting, we laughed so much. Wouldn't recommend the room if you don't like clowns though. Well worth doing.
Enjoyed this room, some things left one but I liked it.
