In the late 1800s, four priceless gemstones were stolen from Malta’s National Museum. The prime suspect? Matteo Degabriele, a notorious figure whose dark legacy haunts the island. His abandoned castle, looming in eerie silence, has been the site of many failed expeditions—none of which have returned. Legend says Degabriele’s restless soul still watches over the castle, guarding its secrets. And those who dare enter are trapped unless they can retrieve the stolen gems.
Now, it’s your turn.
Your team has 60 minutes to enter The Forbidden Castle, recover the four missing gemstones, and escape before Degabriele’s spirit seals your fate. Every room holds deadly traps and cryptic puzzles, designed to ensure no one leaves with the gems. The clock is ticking, and you can feel his presence growing stronger with every passing second. Fail, and you may join the ranks of those lost forever. Can you outwit the ghostly guardian, recover the treasures, and make it out alive? The castle holds its breath—waiting to see if you’ll succeed, or become its next victims.

We were a team of two and didn’t expect such a great room in Malta. Some of the puzzles I’ve never seen before (after 200+ rooms), the Hosting and gameplay was perfect and we had a very, very great time! Also I’d like to point out that the price is very affordable for 2 players. Great escape room! And easy reachable by cab from valetta if you’re there on vacation or with a cruise ship.
Was lucky to get to do this in person while on holiday in Malta. Hosts were super friendly and the set was one of the best I've been to! Unique interesting puzzles and I wish I had time to have played their other room! Would definitely recommend
Good set. Lots of exploration and puzzles to solve. All the puzzles are logical and make sense. There are some physical tasks which make me wish that I was there in person.
A very cool and imaginatively designed set that we're sorry we didn't get to experience in person! I have ranked this one "quite difficult" even though we had lots of time left because it was one of those rooms that had more elements than you are expecting. Make sure you watch your time and take good notes! A very friendly and pleasant GM. All in all, it made us wish we could go to Malta!
lots to explore
Fun room with good puzzles. Lots of physical activity required, but our avatar kept up with all while keeping in character.
This is a wonderful space for an escape room, lots to explore and discover, its one of those rooms that you really want to play in person, as theres a decent amount of physicality to the game and lots to explore. The camerawork is great, we had no problems with focus or seasickness, and the details can be seen and text can be read. Theres also a telescape inventory for some puzzles, but it is minimally used (no playing the inventory here!) as you really don't want to move away from searching solving in the room.
Our Avatar was great, he was engaging and funny and kept us on track with some subtle camerawork . The gameplay is very good, with a couple of nice straightforward puzzles to get to into the game and then it builds from there.
Fabulous room to play an well worth booking, it you liked the pub in Malta, then you're going to love this one!!!

We receive a video call from our friend who is in Malta and has set his mind on finding the four gems that were stolen from the national museum there at the end of the 19th century. Now he finds himself in front of the abandoned castle of the Degabriele family, who are considered the main suspects, and asks us to support him in this daring mission, in which many amateur detectives and curious people have already lost their lives.
