60 minutes

under construction

The TONIC Cinema opened in Bangor on 2nd July 1936 and was the largest cinema throughout Ireland. It operated for 47 years until it closed in 1983. Then at 11pm on the 21st June 1992 a mysterious and suspicious fire ravaged through the iconic listed building leaving just the mutilated skeletal remains.

A cache of precious memorabilia including two solid gold "Oscars" and the original film reels from "Gone With The Wind" were lost forever… or were they? It was reported that on the night a group of people were seen entering the building... one story is that they emerged before the fire and made off in a hurry, but another story says they were lost in the inferno......

It is now 10pm 21st June 1992. Just 60 minutes before the fire destroys this magnificent building, are the rumours true? Could you find the cache and save these precious treasures?

"It Happened One Night", "Dangerous" and "Gone With The Wind"... so true, in more ways than one...
