The setting for this game is incredible. You can tell they’ve really put a lot of thought and effort into the theming and have really nailed it.
The game is very logic based and I can see how people will fail but still have an amazing experience.
What amazed us is how well the games master controlled our environment to how we we’re progressing through the game, with incredible interactions when needed. It really comes across when a gm cares about the game they run, which is very apparent with this game.
Couldn’t recommend enough! The lounge area and overall hospitality experience at escape live was stand out compared to other companies as well (clearly due to higher budget, but it works).
Just terrible - Why you put two cypher puzzles back to back? Crazy.
We were really looking forward to this theme.. and was sorely disappointed.
They give you a lantern.. and recommend you use your phones as the room is completely pitch black, until you start progressing.
Typical EL asking you to use the same 3 numbers in several ways. Very lazy design. A standard you'll come to notice as you play more rooms with them.
Towards the end of your game, you'll be forced to put your hand in a bucket.. which is full of ancient gel balls which have ruptured leaving your hands decimated in a sticky mess, with no way to clean it.
It was fun enough - pretty easy as the escape live Liverpool games tend to be. Our host was lovely.
