Dracula, the incarnation of the devil, had his first coming into the realm of the living, when he materialized into a treacherous creature, known today as a vampire. His goal was to take over the world as we know it, turning it into hell.
He was stopped by the most powerful wizards of that time and was sent back to hell, where he came from. To ensure that Dracula will not be able to return, they sealed the portal using 3 magic crystals. But because those crystals could not be destroyed, they hid them in the secret crypts beneath Bran Castle.
