The Chapel escape room.
The long forgotten order of the secret Ne Malum Watchers, had lived on the chapel site for over six hundred years, there one mission was to watchover and guard the chapels contents.
The last of the Ne Malum Order passed away almost fifty years ago today and there have been growing concerns in the area with stories of evil unrest.
All the worlds spiritual leaders have agreed that the site needs a team to visit and cleans.
What will your team find within the chapel?

Being older escapologists, thereβs a little warning that this involves a level of crawling! That said ,both of the Watford enigma rooms are among our favourite ones that weβve done (so far). The attention to atmosphere and detail in the sets is great and the hosting is friendly. The Chapel is a spooky tale (albeit not scary) requiring a level of observation that we were sometimes lacking in. But it taught us a lesson for future rooms though and we are grateful.
After successfully completing Gold Rush, we moved straight onto Chapel, which marked my 50th individual physical room. Just like Gold Rush, the theming was beautiful and they really put some effort into making sure there was an immersive story throughout the room. The puzzles were great and covered various styles, everything made sense and nothing was out of place with the theme. This one definitely stumped us more than Gold Rush, but I think that was due to some lack of observation as there is less signposting in this one.
Overall, I really enjoyed the room, the puzzles were great, and I loved the ending π
We were deliberating playing The Chapel after our success on Gold Rush however were a little put off as I'm not a fan of scary games. We thought we may aswell play it whilst we were there as we had travelled to come here in the first place and luckily we were able to adjust the scale of 'scary' before entering the room. The puzzles were much harder in here compared to Gold Rush, but again the themeing and hosting was spot on. A unique clue system is given in this game which did mean a fair bit of going backwards and forwards to receive the clues but it was clever how this system was incorporated into the storyline. I spent most of the game (despite modifying the scare level) being terrified by the jump scare moments which distracted me from focusing on solving the puzzles. Unfortunately we did not successfully complete the game but it was still fun, and again, shout out to the excellent games masters for providing this fantastic experience.
Great room as always! Enigma Watford are making a great name for themselves. As equally fun as their other room. Perfectly themed set design. Nice balance of 1st and 2nd gen ER style. Itβs a perfect amount of scary. Creepy enough to make you stop and think but not so scary that you canβt do anything! Look forward to the next room.
Some lovely unique puzzles that all fit within the theme well. The set design was also outstanding! I look forward to playing more games from this company as they release more.
Loved this room. Amazing hosts. Very atmospheric. Some jumps, but not too bad π
Loved the room and great hosts. Really immersive and perfect theming.
Couldn't wait to try the new room after really enjoying Gold Rush. On entering the room you could see the amount of effort that had been put into the new room and it certainly gave the feeling I think they were looking for with this creepy room. I am not a fan of scary rooms but they assured me that it was creepy more than scary and I do agree but they did ask so maybe they turned the scare level down for our group. There were certainly less padlocks in this room compared to their previous one which was a nice change along with a different clue system which we enjoyed. Overall I really enjoyed the new room and very friendly hosting so would definitely recommend it especially to people with some experience as I would say it was slightly harder than their first game Goldrush. There is plans for more rooms in the future so I will certainly be coming back again when I can.
