Fernando de Magallanes's most important expedition was the one in which he discovered the canal that would be known as the "Strait of Magellan". But there was another expedition, an even more significant one: the expedition that ended the life of the explorer.
In his eagerness to find the Moluccas, Magallanes landed in the Philippines fulfilling the project of Christopher Columbus. But, for their luck or misfortune, on that island they didn’t just found the exotic spices they had been looking for...
The island offered other pleasures that delighted those sailors, not knowing that by landing there they would conclude their last voyage on the high seas.
