As others have mentioned the decoration is a bit lacking, and a few props do seem a little cheap. Some nice wallpaper would go a long way to making the room feel more immersive. A good variety of different types of puzzles, I like riddles personally but I’m not a huge fan of them as puzzles in their own right as they can be difficult to clue without giving away the answer and can hamstring certain players for many reasons: dyslexia, English not their first language etc.

The ending of having to guess who the murderer is is a fun idea but could do with some more concrete clueing to help players feel more confident in their guess, and 3 attempts seems a bit generous personally.

As a new venue the staff seemed to take advice well and listened to suggestions given, particularly one where something needs to be in a certain order but is easily moved and then there is no way to know how it was before.

Overall, I did enjoy this room but it could do with simple improvements that would go a long way

The cost was pretty much the same as other venue's in the area, so on this basis, the games at this venue are overpriced for what you get compared to the other venue's.  Knottoosh Abbey is described as "lavish" on their website.   It is actually anything but - Lino on the floor, an office ceiling and a few sticks of furniture. We did not ever feel we had entered another world in a lavish abbey.  This was not an immersive, theatrical game, this has to be the cheapest, quickest game put together we've ever played.  The price needs to be lowered to reflect this, otherwise, the other venue's should be charging a higher price.  We had looked forward to this but sady, were hugley disappointed, not only with how it looks but puzzles that were bits of paper sending round in circles just waiting to be destroyed by players not as considerate as us.  We entered another room to find a large safe, but it was not even part of the game and a screen about 5' high that did not even attempt to cover up an area behind that was undecorated and again, not part of the game.  What's that all about!  No surprises, no tech, no climax, no nothing.  Just the owner at the end who opens the door once you've knocked on it with your knuckles (no lavish door knocker by the way)  Knot Too Shabby???  Cheap and nasty we'd say.

This is the 2nd room we tried here and its ok but very punchy on price for what you get.  We preferred it to Espionage but its still a bit behind the times in terms of set build, etc.

The guys running it are very friendly and enthusiatic so it seems harsh to give a low score but I just think the price does'nt compare to other rooms around for far more immersive rooms with massive varieties of clues/puzzles, sets, etc.

Not only is the room decoration very sparse, everything you're not "meant to touch" is glued down and drawers are nailed shut leaving you with very little to search and explore.

The puzzles are very basic and felt a little like going back in time, and half the time in the room was spent reading letters that "explained the back story".

The gamesmaster is very friendly but overly enthusiastic in providing clues way too quickly during the game, and even in the briefing before.

Considering the price and the competition in the area (e.g. the excellent Tulleys and Hounds Escape in Crawley) this felt disappointing.
