Hint Hunt run two different games out of the submarine room. We found this room quite frustrating because of this. Red herrings and diversions are one thing, and part of the puzzle experience, but things that were genuinely puzzle parts but for a completely different game arc became annoying. There is a part of the game which requires physical dexterity in a confined space which really should have been designed to be larger - only one member of our group of 6 was physically able to do this due to space constraints.

It is deeply weird to walk into an escape room that you've played just a few days before, with all the pre-game intro causing serious dΓ©jΓ vu. But Deep Down is the alter ego of Torpedo, the two Submarine games being Hint Hunt's ambitious attempt to create two different games within the same physical space. Both have existed on the continent for some time, but have recently made it to the London branch.
