Enter a mysterious world of secrets.  Local miller, John Olliver, is not what he seems.  Where is he getting all that gold?  He’s definitely been up to no good.  His cottage looks rustic and full of interesting nooks and crannies but what is it hiding?  Can you discover what the miller has stashed away?  Is he even a miller?  Could he, in fact, be a smuggler?

I love Pier Pressure rooms and this did not disappoint. Game flowed beautifully after we needed one hint at the beginning. Not the most taxing game but we came out saying how much fun we had, especially with the twist on a common theme. Beautiful decor and props - as you'd expect from a Pier Pressure room and a lot packed into a small space.

Like how they can make this and Tea Party at the same venue suitable for families - think these would be excellent rooms to get kids into escape rooms. Feel like you really wouldn't want to go for more than four and absolutely doable as a two.

Accessibility - if you can get up a short flight of stairs you'll be fine.

The only downfall I found with this room was there is so many small cabinets there were times when something would unlock and I'd be unsure as to what unlocked and spend a few minutes searching for it.

Really enjoyed this room. Can tell a lot of effort has gone in and the dressing is fantastic. We felt this flowed quite well too and all the puzzles had the right balance of difficult vs fun. Instantly became our second favourite at this company after lanes.

Great room with some lovely, unique puzzles. 6 and 9 year olds enjoyed it and were able to join in with lots of the puzzles 🙂

The latest game from Pier Pressure is the first to be based at their Paradox Parlour shop, which had a highly tempting array of goodies for sale and which also offers their museum of illusions - which we didn’t have a chance to explore this time but which I certainly hope to see in a future visit.

All Pier Pressure’s games are hosted in costume and in character, and we were met by one of the most enthusiastically piratical hosts I’ve yet encountered. Pier Pressure are well known for the high qu...

Smugglers Secret was a total joy to play. While we played the Pro Version and found it to be exactly the right balance of challenging and fun, I feel confident in saying that the Family Version would be a perfect introduction to escape rooms for the little ones, and no matter which version you choose, it’s an fantastic activity if you need a break from the beach.
