A very clever concept and with good puzzles to go with it. I hated the GM style in this game to the point where I wanted to stop playing. Every minute we’d get a chime in with some belittling comment about how rubbish we were and it just made everything so deflating.
A lot of fun! Really liked the signposting between clues, and the design and puzzles were really ingenious! And a nice touch at the end!
Nothing wrong with the set design and the puzzles but this is the second visit to this venue and I find the hosts character really grinds on me but I see others enjoy this. I preferred the Legends gold room which was a newer room but again didn't enjoy the sarcasm and abuse when receiving clues and after the game had finished. I think if this performance ended when the room was finished and you had the chance to speak to the host in a normal manner this would not be so bad. If you are easily offended or if you are having a bad day and don't want to be told you are stupid then maybe avoid this one.
The room itself was a unique concept with some clever mechanics which we really enjoyed.
However, I have a love hate relationship with Clockwork Escapes. The GM at Clockwork Escapes is a character called the Professor. He is quite grouchy and above it all and to begin with we found him quite funny. However, we did all 3 rooms in one day at by the end of the 3rd room we felt quite demotivated and just wanted to leave. He never broke character which on one hand is very impressive but any time you wanted a clue he was quite belittling and by the end of the 3rd room it had got on our nerves a little.
I think if you did just one room at a time, you'd quite enjoy the quirky professor and find him funny but 3 hours back to back was a bit much.

Our first room at C.E. was a lot of fun, a really original concept and layout of the room. One thing in particular we had never seen before, and was a great surprise when revealed. It’s just a shame we didn’t have much interaction with it!
As tagged, this is a non-linear room, which can be a bit like marmite. We felt we were backtracking a few times, and would have struggled without quite a bit of guidance from the G.M (who was also fantastic and stayed in character our whole trip). This room (and ESPECIALLY Foole’s Gold) is definitely worth the travel.
A very original concept where you’re put inside the mind of the professor.
I do feel that the room lacked some signposting so hints were given frequently to guide us in the right direction. Somethings we would have had no idea about if we werent guided in the right direction. Not through inexperience, but through the design of the room.
That being said, it was an original concept with some good elements so give it a go
