EO always have amazing settings that really elevate the experience. Whilst we did the mini puzzle for the extra 10 minutes we didn't end up needing it. With minimal clues we're were able to make our escape.

Had an absolutely brilliant time in the Castaway Escape Room at EO Sudbury! Really had you thinking from start to finish. Lily our GM was great and really enthusiastic! 5 stars, can’t wait to do our next one!

Our third game was Castaway.

I loved the look of this game, it’s very clever at hiding details and it just unravels as you keep looking. You think you’ve looked everywhere and there is still more to find. Loved the challenge.

Just make sure you shuffle.

This was an incredibly enjoyable experience! The theme is truly one of a kind, drawing inspiration from the film Castaway, and it’s executed in such a unique and original way. The entire game is filled with creative moments that really stand out, making it feel fresh and exciting. The puzzles are not only challenging but also very well designed, offering a great balance of mental stimulation and fun. The introduction to the game is particularly memorable – it sets the tone perfectly and pulls you into the story from the very beginning.

By the end of it, you’ll likely find yourself shouting “WILSON!” just like the iconic scene from the film. Be sure to wear your best socks, as shoes aren’t allowed! The reason behind this quickly becomes clear upon entering, adding to the immersion and making the experience all the more memorable.

In summary, this is a cleverly designed, immersive escape room with a unique theme and fantastic puzzles. It’s a must-try for fans of Castaway and escape room enthusiasts alike!

Some themes are easier to create than others; an outdoor setting is much more of a challenge to build convincingly than, say, an office. A desert island is particularly difficult - but Castaway absolutely smashes it. This room delighted me from the moment I walked in with its whimsical and clever way of setting the scene; it had us all in a great mood from the very start of the game.

Castaway was a delightful game, full of content and lovely moments of nostalgia. But the real star of the show is the set, making us feel like we never wanted to leave!
