Solid game, but the highlights really just don't translate fully in the remote version. I'd love to play this in person, though!
An incredibly fun game, lots of tech and a couple of clever physical puzzles. The story is typical Harry Potter with the serial numbers files off but this is a lot of fun. Our GM was Lizzy and she was great throughout. There was no inventory as such but this did not detract, there was a good flow to the puzzles. Recommended.
The best game we've played at Looking Glass, we had Caroline for our GM and she was great, the camera work was good, the sound (which is critical to the game) is played through the zoom call and not through the rooms speakers, so as long as the team don't talk over it you'll get all the information and character development. This really enhanced the game for me as it developed the narrative and brought the characters of the game to life. A lovely mix of puzzles and some very nice props, its one of those rooms that you wished you were there in real life to actually work the props yourself. Its a game that the whole team loved paying.
The best room so far at Looking Glass Adventures. Remote camera is a bit wobbly and the sound doesn't always come through, but the room is full of sophisticated, whimsical, fun detail. Much better than the average Harry Potterish game.
After our game started, I couldn't help but notice that our host seemed a bit... lethargic? While he did respond to our requests and comments, he appeared somewhat... disconnected from the game's storyline? We never got a sense of urgency from him, even as we came upon a time-sensitive puzzle!
