More of the same Agent Venture fun times! Somehow didn't land quite as well for me (or had less novelty) as the first episode but still a great time.

Fabulous frantic fun! While an improvement in some dimensions from the first episode, I actually preferred the first for having a slightly clearer structure and more room for goofy interactions with specific characters. This time around, we were kept even busier and didn't have quite enough breathing room to sink into what we were doing, but it was brilliantly executed nonetheless. Time ran out with about 30 seconds of the final puzzle execution left to go 🙁

I gave the first Agent Venture experience 5 stars, but this sequel is actually a better game!  They improved on some problems with the first game that I didn't realize were there until I played this second one (for example, often having too much information to figure out what to look at).  The first one was actually originally two 30-minute games whereas this one was designed at the start to be a full 60-minute experience.  The player interface is also slightly slicker.

In the grand tradition of sequels, Agent Venture’s second game is everything their first one was, but more so. Where the first had you infiltrating a building, this time round your target is the island where the bad guy is building his cyborg army. The plot continues from the other, but works fine stand-alone (and fortunately didn’t take into account the fact we’d got our agent killed the first time round!)

As before, it’s a game for exactly 4-5 players where each character has an assigned role...

I didn’t realise that it was possible to have more fun than I did playing The Heist, but Cyborg Island has surpassed its predecessor. Well done TAiR, well done

Since the adventure could become easier or more difficult depending on the choices the group makes, it's important to discuss all the options. There are information that one role has that the other doesn't. Sharing your screen over Zoom would definitely help and would allow other players who currently doesn't have something to do be able to chime in with their opinions. We hope that Agent Venture could also add in more video visuals in their next games to make the experiences more immersive. One thing we always love about their adventures is the creativity behind the story line and the innovative ways they can use a player's imagination. Did you know that you'll be completing your next mission on the moon? Hurry over to their website and check out that mission. Hopefully there's still some advance tickets left!

…And we’re back! Back at it for Mission II with Agent Venture. But this time we’re off to Cyborg Island. Following on from Mission I, the evil CEO Bozo has gone missing! All clues point towards the mysterious Cyborg Island equipped with a casino and… A secret cybernetics lab? Yep, looks like we’re on the right track agents, lets go!

So, did we have a good time? Absolutely. Was it really better than the first? I'm... not sure. I guess it depends whether or not you think of this as a mostly-audio escape game, or as an escape-themed roleplaying game.
