John Monroe was a private investigator. WAS! He died recently. The police said it was a murder, so his office is still sealed. No one knows who did it and why. If you and your team are good investigators you will unlock the mystery. The players only have 1 hour to look around the place and to find the evidence and clues, and to wrap up the case of who killed John Monroe and why. 60 minutes can be enough to escape the room if you are inventive enough. John is counting on you…

Hello, Manchester!

Soon after moving to Salford, I was excited to visit Breakout for the very first time- the first of many!

Story
Having been framed for the murder of a young detective, there's one hour on the clock to search his office, find out who the real killer is and get exonerated.

Puzzles
The Cluedo-style story came with a series of relevant brainteasers. A big focus on code-breaking. We definitely over-thought some of them!

Mise-en-scène
A quaint room with props and sections you'd certainly expect to see in a detective's office.

Final Comments
A run-of-the-mill room; very good for beginners. Due to its low difficulty level, I'd recommend tackling this one as a duo.
