So many cool, well-thought-out puzzles, presented in a wide variety of ways with some really fun mini-game style solutions.

We had a good experience at Breaking the Law, with a team of two experienced and two new escapers. That we still got out in 38 mins is an indication of how relatively simple it is. There was also a minor technical hiccup which meant our game had to be paused while the GM fixed it, and a little confusion about some of the instructions. It's definitely one of the more affordable rooms we've done, but personally I'd rather pay a little more for better quality and more robust puzzles and theming.

Despite being a slightly older and less challenging game than some of the others at EE, we really enjoyed this as an experience. Fun ending.

This was definitely a fun room and nice to have more than one challenge to meet to actually escape. That said, I think it's an older room and a couple of the puzzles possibly felt slightly "left behind" in the escape room world BUT that isn't to say don't play it, because we still had fun!!

Each game at Exciting Escapes is set in, and themed for, a specific decade, and Breaking The Law is their 70s game. While that's an era sometimes remembered for cheerless economic depression, I found this game to be joyously fun and my personal favourite of the three at the venue.

The aim of the game is to find a briefcase of evidence locked in the office of a corrupt detective. Some aspects of the game I'll have to skirt around for spoiler reasons, but a central challenge described in the pre-...

Probably the best of the three games at Exciting Escapes. Solid puzzles with a strong physical element, a real sense of progress during the game and a thrilling finale added up to a highly enjoyable experience.
