An interesting escape room with a logical story and interesting clues, our host Lara was very nice and made sure we all had a good time.
Really good! An amazing number of rooms, hidden in ingenious ways. Creepy theming, but not scary.

My first room! Great game.
Really enjoyable game with a great theme which is creepy but didn't make us scream (apart from when I was engrossed in a puzzle and my partner tapped me on the shoulder!).
Jacob our host was great and really brought the theme to life.
In one of the more pleasant kidnappings I've been subjected to in my escaping career! The games moves from location to location with a similar puzzling experience as the other games at this venue. A relatively straight forward game that potentially throws a couple of curve balls depending on your skillset.
One of our favourite games on our recent trip to reading. The whole game was interesting with a great flow to the puzzles. Excellent hosting. You hear a lot about other games at this location but this one should absolutely not be missed!
Clever puzzles, great hosting. Loved the clue method
Really enjoyed! Good range of puzzles. We completed as a team of 2 and felt everything was very solid
Brilliant escape room that held our attention throughout! Cannot recommend Escape Reading enough
Loved this room! Some real twists and some novel puzzles!
A really great room but some issues with solving puzzles where the set up was wrong (so we got a digit wrong because something had been tampered with) and some difficulty in reading a section of information because of lighting and angles or worn out numbering. Decent but flawed, needs a bit of a spruce up.

The first of the two horror themes we tried at Escape Reading's central branch was Kidnapped, which avoids outright scares in favour of building a subtle creepy atmosphere. (For those who hate jump scares, there should be little to worry about here.) There is little preamble in the briefing or the website's description of the room: you've been kidnapped and imprisoned. But as the game progresses the style of the decorations gives a vivid impression of your captor, with some later puzzles making ...
Kidnapped was a well balanced room in the heart of Reading that would be absolutely perfect for a larger team of 4 or more, perhaps even made up of folks who have never done an escape room before – since it contains a little bit of all the best puzzles you typically see in an escape room! Good puzzles, nicely decorated, and absolutely amazing customer service from our lovely GM Julia!
