Another great room from Lucardo. Some parts were pretty creepy but it was great. Some of the puzzles really made you think outside the box! did it with just over 4 mins to spare. This is a typical Murder Mystery type room. You are a police investigator and the murderer has struck again - You have to inspect his latest crime scene to try and find the next victims postcode! so you're basically tearing the room apart for clues!

Fun room that we booked last minute after really enjoying a couple of other games at Lucardo. Difficult to do this theme well now as rather overused and didn't enjoy as much as the other 2 we did there but overall a great company and would recommend any of their rooms if you find yourself in Manchester.  Got very confused by one puzzle and a little too dark for my liking with searches but otherwise fun.

How to Solve a Life

This is the first time I did two escape rooms in the same day…the addiction is setting in! Having heard good things about Lucardo, I was excited to pay them my first visit.

Story

A serial killer is on the loose. Investigate the latest murder scene to track down the next location s/he plans on striking to save a life. Rather than escaping a killer like most storylines, solving puzzles to find out the next target is a good little creative twist and gives you a clear end goal to work towards!

Puzzles

Cunning and rewarding. Teamwork was obligatory for some, which I always love to see. I was playing with a clever bunch and so one or two of the puzzles had been solved before I could so much as look at them.

Mise-en-scène

Very dark, shadowy and chilling. It was difficult to appreciate all the décor due to the lack of light, but the feeling of being engrossed in the scene of a crime was there for me.

Final Comments

A team of four is just about right for this one.

Fun enough but quite basic and small and extremely easy.

We booked this room as part of a Christmassy fun day out in Manchester. The room itself, although somewhat simple by today's standards of room design, was fun and it had a good variety of puzzles; observational, logic, riddles etc. The only thing that slightly let down the experience was the hosting, as when we required hints they occasionally would take a minute or two to appear, and we either give us a hint for something we had already discovered or something unrelated to our current point in the game. Other than that, it was fun so we would recommend.

This game was fun, one of the more basic in decor so early generation escape room however non the less very much enjoyed. The puzzles were clever and am allways a fan of a good padlock puzzle. Some surprising elements and needed hints to help along the way but we got there

A very solid escape room with a good number of decent puzzles but nothing that really stood out. A few rough edges along the way leaves it in that range of games where I'll still recommend people play but won't do so enthusiastically.
With the types of puzzles and the design choices, I would say this game is perfectly suited to small groups of enthusiasts (perhaps those that want to try their first room as a two) or larger groups of new players.
We found this to be one of the weaker Lucardo games we’ve played. We didn’t feel there was much variety in the puzzles and felt there was quite an anti-climactic ending.
