I loved this room from the moment we arrived. Unusually, it is located on the first floor of a beautiful mews building rather than in a basement or warehouse. The host gave us a warm and enthusiastic welcome and sent us into the room, aka the barracks. We were prisoners of war attempting our very own great escape during WWII.
The theming and atmosphere are brilliant and carried through from start to finish, with the help of props, soundtrack and the puzzles themselves. The puzzles themselves are mostly mechanical rather than technology based, which I feel fits in with the theme of the room. There were one or two wonderfully inventive puzzles I haven’t seen anywhere else in London.
The one downside perhaps is the number of locks. Having said that, each lock comes with a hint as to which puzzle will help you solve it, limiting the risk of getting stuck on one particular lock.
There is a lot to search and solve in this room, which means that everybody in the team is always busy doing something and I never once felt I was left standing around idly.
Our team of four didn’t make it out within the 60 minute limit (we needed 62). Nonetheless, this is one of my favourite rooms in London, set up by enthusiasts with lots of attention to detail and it shows. Highly recommended! 4.5 / 5

Really solid, high quality escape room with excellent puzzles and design. The location was a little tricky to find, but it’s worth seeking out. 4 / 5
