great hostingthemed nicelylack of puzzlesquite easy😨creepy
It may be unfair to compare this game to itself, but if you revamp a room, surely the brand new iteration should be better than the first?
Unfortunately, we were left underwhelmed by this version of the Butcher.
The game seemed toned down and illogical, with a poorly worded riddle at the end that wasted most of our time trying to decipher. (We remember the first version of the game also having a 'slow' point towards the end, which involved some form of riddle too).
The first version, was dark and scary but this version was just dark.
The game could have done with a few more puzzles.
WIsh they had kept the live actor element.

Really impressed that this is this companies' first room, felt like a complete world, with a tonne of puzzles and a strong host, we had great flow in this room.

Great fun hour of dashing about trying frantically to get all the puzzles done. Nice to see a different style of game which isn’t just about getting out in an hour, will be back to try some of the other rooms

Everything you'd expect from Hounds - theatrical, OTT and funny. GM was brilliant and in-character the whole time. Even included our little team mascot in their interactions (I'm sure they don't talk to a frog plushie every day !)
A good range of puzzles, nothing too taxing. There's a fair amount to do but I would say 3/4 is a good team size for this game - 5 felt a little crowded at some points, i would not want to play this game as a 6.
Not a fan of the new briefing system at hounds but i'll let that slide for the rooms :)

Very nice room, a lot to do for a two, non-linear space themed. Was our favourite room at Parliament Street and well hosted. Would recommend this room and is worth the visit alone.
