Really great concept, good fun and the nods to the retro games were great! It's clear that the game has been dismantled and reassembled and some of the parts feel a little unsteady and tired, but with a refresh, it could be a truly incredible room.

family friendly

We enjoyed playing this game to celebrate my birthday. Ruth is a great host and the theming of the room was good fun. It would be good for families and felt achievable within the hour time limit. Some of the set/props weren't great quality though.

Such a fun room from start to finish - loved all of the nods to games of the past. The puzzles were really original and all made sense within the theme. Really fun start to the room too.

The room was a lot of fun from the beginning, with an immersive moment of being sucked into the console itself. The puzzles themselves were creative and not too hard for a beginner such as myself and the entire group had fun solving them and bickering about others.

I seem to end up playing games at Thinking Outside The Box just before they close, and squeaked in a game of Retro on the final weekend before the venue closed, having had to shut down (hopefully temporarily) due to the impending demolition of the car park above it. This isn't a strategy I'd particularly recommend, since the company's design style tends to involve plenty of handmade props and mechanisms which can suffer wear and tear; and our game did have a couple of moments where something did...

A fun throwback to an earlier age of gaming when times were simpler. A room full of references not only to iconic computer games but to how consoles and computers work. The puzzles were enjoyable but perhaps a little too logical with us taking it easy and still escaping in under half an hour.
I loved this room, I really did. Retrogaming memories are my weakness and this room exploited them to the max
