Took some friends here for their first ever escape room, and luckily it made a good impression, they both enjoyed it and sounds like they will be doing more. The room is fun with some unique puzzles id not seen before. Great hosting too.

broken techpoor hostingquite difficult
I didnât like writing reviews like this. Iâve been wanting to play this game since talking to someone who had just played back in January 2020. My first two attempts failed as the room wasnât working when we arrived at the venue, this time the room was working but I wish it hadnât been,. Break Free took over the location from Clue HQ over a year ago and weâd played the former A-1-9 some time ago and I noted then how tired the game was.
The game starts with a split start (the GM told us that a previous game had failed to even get out of the cells!). They say this is a hard room and to get out does feature some maths puzzles and I would argue outside knowledge to properly solve what you need to, couple that with a calculator that doesnât work and we were able to get out in just over 20 minutes.
Then into the main room and there was next to no hints where to go next. We made some progress from thorough searching but the sign posting was none existent. This room was incredibly tired, from the clearly no longer used boxes on the wall, to so many things. I canât recommend anyone playing this game in any way, or playing any Break Free games as after my experience here and elsewhere they are running tired, broken games into the ground with little to no thought for the player experience.

An absolute hoot. It's a split-start, which really adds to the difficulty level, so providing a nice challenge. The nostalgia value really contributes to the sense of fun in here and the well-designed puzzles flow very nicely. This was arguably our favourite game here at Rush Hour, purely based on the fun we had in here, as there are certainly some elements that we don't expect to see anywhere else.
It was a winner for us!

Because it's done under the auspices of a gameshow, and you win money, and trade for clues etc it does make for good pacing, there's no lulls and as others have mentioned it seems much more fun than an average escape room. Inventive puzzles and great hosting, also helps!

Overall a well themed room with a good story line, quite creepy. Enjoyed playing this game, clues were sent via an ipad type of device but you are warned it times out of you asked for too many. So this could be an issue if you are stuck on a certain puzzle. Fun game to play, not to stressful, Wouldn't recommend this theme to the younger ones as it could freak them out a bit.

Another absolutely wicked room from EO! Staff were incredible as always. Kelly always looks after us when we visit. The room design was brilliant and the actual entrance was super original. There was loads to do in this room with tonnes of fun puzzles and tactile solving. Couldnât recommend more!

The jungle room did actually feel like a jungle, with lots of on-theme and varied puzzles, which weren't linear. A couple of puzzles tripped us up, but the hints given were just enough to get us back on track. Our host (the owner) was very pleasant and helpful. Nice use of tech that was unobtrusive.
A couple of minor niggles with the props, and a puzzle that I thought needed an extra clue. There was also a TV for timer and hints that was out of place.
Overall, however, it all flowed very well, it was immersive, and genuinely a good room that I can recommend - I'll certainly be doing their other rooms!
