This is a really well-themed room - the soundtrack and smells were really authentic. It was let down a little by one puzzle which we were told afterwards had been broken by other players. We wasted time trying to figure out what the puzzle was when it didn't actually exist! One puzzle in the second part of the room didn't fit with the theme but didn't detract from the overall experience.
A good room for first timers or experienced escapees.
A small but well thought out room with immersive atmosphere including smells. Some interesting and unique puzzles too.
We had a piece of tech break so we wasted 5 mins trying to work out what to do and it meant we had to miss a puzzle, but the host was very apologetic and we understand sometimes these things happen.
Really enjoyed playing this room! The decor was brilliant with a lot of thought put into it, the puzzles were well thought out and it flowed nicely, there was a different range of physical puzzles aswell as some you need to really think about! A great room for the whole family of all ages! The game host explained everything thoroughly and was very chatty 🙂 really enjoyed it, and we escaped!!
Walking into this room we were very impressed with how it had been decorated. It looks amazing and the lighting and smells effects really added to it. Lots of different puzzles in the rooms which fitted really well with the theme. A really fun room with excellent theming.
We played Scunthorpe's other room a few months back, and we're thrilled to hear they were opening a second. Viking themed room this time. To start with, the setting is amazing, the décor is brilliant and the haze, lighting effects and smells give the room a real immersive feel.
The puzzles are fun, and nothing overly difficult. There was one thing that had us stumped for a while, but as usual, it was us overthinking something. Although the space isn't as large as most rooms, its still enough, and they have used the space they have well with set pieces and such.
Still, a nice little room, wasn't too difficult, but wasnt too easy, so a nice steady room, which meant we escaped with just under ten minutes left.
