In Soup du Jour you have reserved a table for a dinner in our prestigious restaurant, but you will soon discover that in the kitchen nothing is quite as it seems, and that the chef is not so friendly at all
Break into Gastons’ private test kitchen, but beware: Gaston has a violent temper! If you’re caught it could be your head on the chopping block…
Use your sleuthing skills to decipher the clues hidden in his old restaurant menu’s. The door is closed behind you and the chef is grinding his knives. You only have 75 minutes to discover what really happens in his restaurant and to get out alive!

The story of this game was both dark and amusing in equal measure. Whilst the direction of the narrative was obvious it didn’t really matter. The puzzles were very creative and used everything you’d expect from a restaurant themed game. One physical puzzle was particularly clever and fun to do. Lots of fun reveals and fun ways of developing the action. Loved this game!
Poppet at the same venue too makes this a must-play if in the area.

Soup Du Jour is a creepy room. There are a few more ‘jump scare’ elements than the average room (including one hilarious one we all screamed our heads off at), and a definite feeling of tension throughout. Where Soup Du Jour really shined for me were the puzzles. There’s a mix of linear, non-linear, and really creative solutions. Whether I’d personally agree it’s the 74th best escape room in the world… I’m not sure. It’s certainly better than the hundreds of others I’ve played in my life so far, and it certainly brought us a lot of delight, but it’s hard not to compare it to the other Dutch rooms. If this were in another country it would be exceptionally outstanding. Because it’s in the Netherlands, it’s simply “brilliant”. Make of what whatever you will!
