Buckbuck Games: The Hunt For The Smoking Caterpillar

What an absolute blast! The venue is a kooky and highly decorative pub where we sat until greeted by the most affable and nattily dressed rabbit, who gave us some very important items for our journey, explained what was needed of us and then when the time was right, took us up the staircase to enter New Wonderland. We were given a most fruity drink to help us hydrate for the task ahead. Then after reading the most important rules of play, we were introduced to the Baron - a character who clearly has our best interests at heart as they have invited us to New Wonderland to help them search for this caterpillar. Once Baron has given their speech, we were free to begin hunting. This involves using clues to open many boxes, which might be solving riddles, finding items or interacting with the mysterious folk of New Wonderland, who all have something to share with you and things to ask of you. Open these boxes, engage with the folk, and you will earn many golds. What good are these golds? Well, you just have to collect them to find out don't you! As time goes on, you will become embroiled in the lives of these characters, helping, questioning, bribing or just singing with them! You will be asked to do odd things, you will find some weird things, you will certainly sing a song or two, and it is simply brilliant. Best hour I have spent in a pub ever. The small cast were just brilliant and all the artefacts and decoration are superb. Escapism and nonsense fun at its very best and a breath of fresh air. Go and try it. Let go of any inhibitions, embrace your silly side, laugh out loud and most importantly, find the caterpillar!
