A charming room in a 15th century tower in Rembrandt's birth town, this was a lovely game that was obviously made with love and that really felt immersive thanks to the history of the building.
There were some super puzzles with some very cleverly thought-out mechanisms and a lot of quirky nods to the great artist himself.
My partner and I left our usual Liverpuldian crew for a romantic escape to (and in) Leiden. As we were expecting the usual atmosphere and tricks of the 11 previous games we've done, we were really surprised! The atmosphere couldn't be reproduce anywhere else than in this old building from the 15th century. The puzzles were absolutely genius and so well-made! We were both so impressed and probably reached the 100 "Wow" within the hour. Unfortunately (and I take all the blame), we didn't escape but oh my that last puzzle! SO SMART. The crew was absolutely fantastic too! Dynamic, passionate and driven. You don't know where to go on holidays and tempted to go where the good escape games are? Don't hesitate, go for Leiden! đŽ AND they will set all the puzzles and clues in English for you if you don't speak Dutch. đ
