Having previously released an online digital escape game as a promotional tie-in for the TV series Hanna, The Escape Game are now offering a live avatar style game to promote the series Truth Seekers, which has a premise somewhere between Ghostbusters and the X-Files. Even though this is a game with a live host it’s free to play, and while they scheduled a large number of slots there are only a handful left at time of writing, so you may need to move fast to get one.

For a free game, this was fun. The room was up to the usual ‘The Escape Game’ standards and the puzzles were really rather satisfying. Our avatar slowed the pace which ruined our flow a little, but if you get a chance to get a slot for this game, do it.

In celebration of the "Truth Seeker" show that will be premiering on October 30th on Amazon Prime Video, The Escape Game created this 45 minute remote escape game that you can play from the comfort of your homes for free (for a limited time). We are big fans of Simon Pegg and a series with a paranormal story line was just icing on the cake.

As a temporary pop-up installation, the room needed to be relatively inexpensive, while actively promoting the series' content.

Infiltrate into an old museum (strikingly similar to The Barclay Museum of Historical Art), find the spell book of interest, and leave undetected. And never mind of the haunting spirits residing within, they will be neither bothersome nor useful.
Just the ticket for a spooky Thursday night in before Halloween – I’m actually jealous of everyone else in the world who hasn’t yet played this, for they’ll get all the joy of experiencing this brilliant remote game all over again from the start. Go forth and beat our score, escape roomers!
