Who knew you could do so much with a card game and an app... and in this case a very simple map. We loved how the map was used to explore and give the impression of many possible routes to the goal.

While we did like part 2 of this trilogy more, we were also fans of this one. It is of course not the same as being in an escape room or even a 360 degrees online escape room, but it was a fun experience and we have put more Unlock! games on our wish list.

Having been rebels and independent smugglers in the first two games, this third one puts you on the side of the bad guys, as an undercover Imperial agent tracking down a crate of valuable minerals. This includes the unusual feature of needing to periodically report back to your headquarters. In practice this simply means sometimes being prompted to enter something into the app and be instructed to take a card or two; but it provides an extra feeling of story progression.

As with most Unlock box...

Unlike the other two stories, Secret Mission on Jedha lets you play as the bad guys (“finally!” says Player 2) and I have to say despite not being a Star Wars fan I’m learning a lot about the films through playing this, such as the names of planets, what symbols the good and bad guys use, and schematics of spaceships.

Unlock! Star Wars - The Escape Game is especially suitable for beginners and fans of the Star Wars universe because of the moderate difficulty level and the advantage cards.
