You were supposed to be living the βAmerican Dreamβ, ticking off an adventure of a lifetime from your bucket list by trekking across America. Yet here you find yourself, in the middle of a gloomy and chilling forest, lost, cold, scared.
The party the night before seemed like a good idea at the time, however awaking the next morning in a hungover state, you soon realise that you are massively behind schedule if you are to hike to your next destination before the end of the day. Having looked at your map, you anticipate being able to make up the lost hours by taking a short-cut through a large wooded area.
Once deep inside the woodland you soon realise that youβve lost your GPS and Phone signal due to the dense canopy of leaves above, and so your only source of navigation becomes your map and gut instinct. You decide to keep going in the hope that it will bring you out the other side.
However, hours soon pass and yet all you can see ahead appears to be a never ending path of trees, and to make matters worse darkness begins to creep in as the sun sets. Panicking that you are now lost in the woods, you can make out what looks to be an abandoned cabin in the distance, and a decision is made to head to the cabin to take refuge for the night in order to shelter from the darkness, before attempting to find your way out of the woods again in the morning.
But is the darkness the only thing you should be scared of?

Amazing room design and layout, fully emersion and an incredible host as always. Don't miss out on deliverance! The puzzle solving elements are top notch.
Deliverance are fantastic at making you aware that their rooms "may be scary" mention to the host you aren't a fan and they listen! Although the scares aren't simply designed to scare you, they are story based (which is very clever) upon noticing a team member isnt comfortable, Matt quickly fully reduced this and tailored the game to help. (the gameplay was not affected by this at all)
The theming in this room is absolutely brilliant - probably one of my favourite here. It felt exactly as I'd expect given the story and it works!
Puzzles in here are fab, some again I've not seen before and really enjoyed working out, slightly multi linear too which meant we could split up and do some bits separately too.
Great room, great theming, fab puzzles - if you're ever in Lincoln, definately visit!
The woods must be packed with small sinister cabins, each inhabited by its own bloodthirsty maniac; and inevitably we end up wandering into one after another. Increasingly often escape rooms with this theme start you off outside the cabin; thatβs the case here, and Deliverance have built a nicely effective βoutdoorsβ environment.
Cabin is designed as a scary game, and although itβs a long way from full-on terror, nervous players may find that it nudges the boundaries of their comfort zone. I th...
