I nearly didn't review this room. As I didn't know if I'd done it. That's the issue with one franchise having so many similar rooms. This was a more basic wizardry room but not the most basic so has to be down the middle in terms of a rating
Nice to see another variation of quite a repeated theme within the Escape franchise. I almost didn’t play it as I didn’t want to be a replica of a game I’d already played. Magical settings perfect for any fans of the original IP. Some tech within the room which on my occasion failed to connect and was told afterward that the GM did a manual override. Can’t help it sometimes but it broke the “magic”.
Has a really infuriated smell puzzle… I go nose blind after a few whiffs and then the puzzle become impossible to work out. I think I recall I ended up just swapping the order around enough times until I landed on the right one.
Excellent theming and the rooms look fantastic. A really fun game with some interesting and fun puzzles. Host very helpful.
Good game, some fun puzzles, although a little confusing at one stage as very loud music is triggered and everything goes dark apart from flashing lights which just added mayhem and the only way to stop the music/darkness/flashing isn't something logical.. but the volume means there is no way to get a clue.. ended up with the games master coming into the room and confusing us further.

This one avoids overt Harry Potter references while using a setting that is obviously inspired by it; your aim is to find a certain Alder Wand, having first to find a...
A fun little room that suited our newbie group very well. We weren’t overly challenged, but we did have a lot of fun and appreciated the environment and setting a lot. The Magic Emporium would be an excellent room for kids and families alike, as there’s a fun mix of traditional locks and more ‘magical’ activations of hidden puzzles. It might not satisfy the enthusiast’s itch, but still worth a visit if you’re in the area.
A beautifully designed room really giving you the feel of being inside a magic shop, a good variety of puzzles, observation skills need to be on point, a truly magical experience!
