Ginger Fox

We weren't expecting a great deal from a franchise based escape game - but this is actually very good indeed and works standalone from any knowledge of the series. We're not a great team for breaking/bending/folding (even popping items out sometimes gives us palpitations), so the approach this game takes where most of the puzzles can be solved without you doing any of that - and leaving the possibility for regifting (ish) or at least putting on the shelf and playing once you've forgotten all of the puzzles fulfilled a long dream.

The game itself consists of 15 puzzles  (of which we only had issues with 1 because we refused to pop out an item) which vary from trivial to medium difficulty - all of them being family friendly, and centre around escaping from the taskmaster house. It does fall foul of one of the standard gripes of other escape rooms where measurements can cause some confusion - "do you take the measurement from the very edge, the mid-point of this item/that item" type of thing but it does (kind of) work - but that's the only place where I would say it lost a teeny bit of respect.

Needless to say, we liked this a lot and can recommend it for the price point. It's been put together with a great deal of thought and it's in the same humour as the series with the occasional reminder of past episodes for those that have avidly watched the brilliant series!

This is absolutely superb. You do not need to know the show to play but if you do it has some wonderful references and uses of the series. 15 puzzles all of which were varied, multi level and fun to solve. Nice variety of materials, colourful and great value. And amazingly you don't have to go online for any of it, even though you can, because as well as QR codes and an online puzzle, they have made it all available in offline form right there in the box for you. Brilliant for digital detox. I really hope Ginger Fox make more!!
