Based on the events that took place at Chernobyl, in 1986. Reactor 4 has gone into meltdown, and the plant’s water-cooling system has overflowed and is causing a large pool to form under the melting nuclear core.

If the water reaches the nuclear core, it will cause a steam explosion, damaging the facility and releasing dangerous nuclear material across the world.

You are left with one choice, will your team brave the radioactive facility to save millions?

CHAOS in the best way.

This room has so much going on and really tests the dynamics of your team. The main goal is to stabilise the reactor. However, radiation poisoning keeps leaking into the play area and can only be reduced by solving mini puzzles throughout. A very novel concept with interesting decision making to be made throughout. This also made for a very different feel / gameplay to a regular escape room. Needless to say, our team all died but we did make the leaderboard for time!

The puzzles were mostly technology based but had some fun physical elements thrown in too (all working well and giving clear feedback if correct or not) and there was a fair few moments that I'd never seen before - one thing in particular was reasonably simple in idea but very effective in execution.

As with the WW2 themed game at this company, the events within the game are directly inspired by the history of the Chernobyl event.

Also a huge thanks to Escape Entertainment for providing cake after this game. It was a lovely 150th game celebration!
