We meant to play Office, by this company, as it had won an award, but got confused and bought this one instead. We didn't really enjoy it all that much, to be honest. Now I'm not sure if we should try Office or not. On the positive side, about half the puzzles were enjoyable. The monsters puzzle and receipt puzzle were standouts. On the negative side, the artwork was so juvenile that it kind of detracted from the game. That may not be the turn-off for others that it was for us, though. But our biggest problem was the other half of the puzzles that were not enjoyable. Several of them never made sense, even after reading all the hints and explanations. Others, like the marbles puzzle, just seemed random. Their games are on the inexpensive side, so we may still give Office a shot.
For a click-and-play game this game has a lot of quirky charm. The way multiple players can step on each other's toes is perhaps not the best thing to have simulated, though.
I may be biased, but, my friends like it. 🙂

The premise of Prototype is that while applying for a job at an escape room company you get stuck in their room... meaning that yes, this is a (digital) escape room where the goal is to escape from the escape room.
This is a digital point-n-click game, and in appearance and play style it’s closely related to the Flash-based digital escape games that were one of the original inspirations for physical escape rooms. You have different screens corresponding to different viewing angles within the ro...
The storyline is very unique (and a bit meta) as you are trapped in the Escape Room that you are interviewing to run as a GM! Wendy has hired you and left you in charge, when you unfortunately get locked in. As a GM in training, this isn’t exactly the best start to your newly chosen career path… Surely the golden rule of GM’ing is ‘don’t lose track of the keys?!’
