This game has a really interesting game mechanic which thrives on working individually and as a team. This is a must-play in the area!

Reviews by escape room review sites

Almost two years after Chris's visit and review, I finally got a chance to try Hex Room myself, two of us teaming up with a group of four lovely Californian enthusiasts who were also playing it for the first time. Which was fortunate, because even more than most escape rooms you need to play this one with a good team. While some communication between the individual cells and the central hub is possible, if one of the group gets too badly stuck they may sink the whole team.

I loved how each play...

After a small amount of psychological profiling, our team was given our roles within this experience. Every player is given their own Hex Box, a tool or clue that is for them-alone to solve – if they don’t, even if you escape you do not β€œsurvive”.

I was thrilled and daunted by being given the role of The Detective where I can communicate to every other player that’s locked in their own environment. The Nerd, Virgin, Jock, Rebel, Prom Queen were all solving their own rooms, with me passing items to and fro. Dealing with many voices and objects at the same time was thrilling and exhausting.

The Breakfast Club meets in a murder house!
Take everything you thought you knew about escape rooms and smash it to pieces; it will just slow you down while you try to escape from the killer of this incredibly crafted horror flick!
