Loved the room,
it was vert well thought out and the hosting was great!
This game was hyped up to me as one of the scariest escape games there is. I did not get this experience, I got lights turning off randomly for long periods of time making my team stop in our tracks as we couldn't see anything. We also kept being directed into another room to waste time it seems, throughout the game it seemed that we had been slowed down multiple times by the games master as we were completing the room too quickly. We were also told about a live actor before we came to play but they must have stopped doing that as all we got was a few random taps or bangs on the floor and I never saw this live actor in the game. overall it was a disappointment after ages of the game being hyped up to me and my team we feel we didn't get the experience everyone else had.
*POTENTIAL SPOILERS*
Now, this room has been mentioned to me a few times, as one of the most intense, scary experiences out there in terms of escape rooms. This is wrong, we got a few bits of tapping, and a lot of random darkness. This, was unfortunately, overhyped. Which, isn't the rooms fault, I appreciate.
However, what was the rooms fault was the lack of content within it. I counted 5 locks. The puzzles we easy (I appreciate we're an experienced team, but still), we were slowed down by bits of random darkness, which I HATE, it doesn't make sense, in my opinion it is literally the host saying we're going to fast, let me turn the lights out so you have to stand around doing nothing until they come back on, thats very frustrating.
*AGAIN SPOILERS*
There was parts of the game where we were split up from each other, but at one point, we had to leave a person handcuff and chained behind for a number of minutes, considering this person paid to be part of this experience, that seems like a waste of money on their part, even more so that the reason we were sent to a different part of the game was to go and solve a puzzle that we had already done earlier in the game, the host did try and cover this with explaining we did a few things quickly so didnt realise, but, at the same time, the puzzle they thought we needed to do, the solution was by our sacrificed friend anyway, so there was no need to go back, thus proving, it was just another, let's slow them down, type of thing. Not great.
REALLY disappointing. I have spoken to a lot of people who said when they played it under it's original owner, it was a great experience and really creepy, and they were surprised when I said it was one of the most disappointing escape rooms i've played.
Don't believe any hype. It seems to have been left to rot.
The puzzles weren't difficult, and a few times, we were just given items that would help us out through holes in the walls, not even something we could work out, just, heres the answer.
Real shame if im honest, and at £100, to be out in less than half an hour? Well, I felt ripped off.

Edith is an unusual beast of an escape room, one that you might love or might find not to your taste, but which you'll definitely remember. Personally I thought it was outstanding and hilarious.
The game is named after a missing operative from your time travel agency, who went through a new time portal then vanished in the process of trying to shut it down. Your job is to go through the same portal, work out if it's safe (spoiler: it's not), then shut it down and escape.
