First of many rooms being played in Barcelona this week. Immersive play as soon as you start. This experience flowed very well for our time, never really finding ourselves stuck but still have those âahaâ moments. Really satisfying and a lot of fun to play. Some normal escape room etiquette is out of the window here.

A lot to do for a team of 2. Lovely room, original puzzles and not a padlock in sight. Very well hosted and in perfect English for us. Worth a visit if youâre in this area of Budapest.

A good, fun escape room. Really nicely themed and great hosting. This wasnât really a hard game although some bits made us feel like idiots getting confused and taking a while to work it out! A fun feel good game suitable for all the family

This room was really fun. There was plenty to do with the added task of looking for cash, and all of the puzzles made sense. The room even smelled good! I would definitely recommend! The only thing that I didnât love was that some puzzles were attemptable before you had all of the info, and we had to check in with the host about whether weâd got something wrong or whether we just couldnât do that puzzle yet - but this wasnât a big issue especially in a larger group where we could swap jobs. I think it would also be nice to have the chance to look for any cash you havenât found if you finish early. Overall really fun and lots of nice touches!

This is another adventure where the actor interaction elevates the game from great to blooming brilliant. Its a game where the more you interact the more fun you have. It's a wonderfully macabre adventure... being invited to dinner has never been so much fun!

The start of this room was great fun and a lovely surprise! Visually the theming in here was good and it would be a fantastic room for young enthusiasts and families. But ultimately it was just a typical UK chain room.
Unfortunately, I found the room to be a bit too much of a "puzzle dump". I've seen the non-linear style done very well before, but here it was just a bit to chaotic. The majority of puzzles were all available from the start, scattered around the room (including optional puzzles), so everyone split up and it didn't really feel like a team game because everyone was doing their own thing. Because of this, there was no flow to the room and it lost a lot of immersion.
According to the website you can have up to 8 people in this room, but we were treading on each other's toes with a group of 5. The starting area especially would be like sardines with more people, although you're not in there for long, it would be very tight.
We also lost a lot of time due to poor set-up. As we eventually worked out that the padlocks had been put on the wrong boxes so if a code isn't working, try it on other matching locks in the room. I think some puzzles also need a slight re-think as things like riddles can have multiple solutions.
Overall, it's a good room for families and beginners but as an enthusiast I wanted more from it.

A good room, with some theming elements id not seen. As seems normal with Darkmaster, the technology is really plentiful, well done and worked perfectly. Some really good special effects. The only thing I would say is the ending is a bit surprising in a way id not class as good, we did wonder for a second if there was some technical problem right at the end.
Well worth doing.
