The Exodus illustrates how the Children of Israel leave slavery in Egypt through the strength of Yahweh - the God who has chosen Israel as His people. Led by their prophet Moses, the people of Israel journey through the wilderness to Mount Sinai. There, Yahweh promises them the land of Canaan (the “Promised Land”) in return for their faithfulness. Israel enters into a covenant with Yahweh who gives them their laws and instructions for the Tabernacle, the means by which he will dwell with them and lead them to the promised land and give them peace.
The Ten Commandments, also known as the Decalogue, are a set of biblical principles relating to ethics and worship, which play a fundamental role in Judaism and Christianity. These principles state that they are to worship only God and to keep the Sabbath holy. It also includes prohibitions against idolatry, blasphemy, murder, theft, dishonesty, and adultery. Under God’s Judgement, you had been chosen as one of the Israelites to seek for the path of Exodus.
