It is the autumn of 1885. Mr G O Newton is a well-known local landowner. On a
November evening, his gamekeeper happened upon three poachers who were
on his estate trying to steal his game. A fierce encounter ensued, following which
the gamekeeper received serious injuries. As a result of this, three local men
were committed to the Assizes and charged with attempted murder. They were
found guilty; one was sentenced to five years imprisonment, and the other two
were sentenced to 18 months.

Subsequent enquiries have concluded that this group of villains most probably had outside help, and your group are the likeliest suspects so you have been brought in for questioning. The sparse and inefficient local constabulary will take you upstairs for processing using the latest forensic methods, after which you may be put in a cell, or maybe abandoned, depending on staffing levels.
Of course, if you’ve been left alone, locked in a strange processing room, you may feel unjustly treated, particularly as you claim innocence of a crime you didn’t
commit….
… so do you have the skills to escape?!

Team size: 3 Outcome: Successful escape!

Good use of the museum setting. Escaped the first section/room very quickly but found the rest of the escape better paced. Thorough searching was essential and we liked the practical puzzle as it played to the strength/enjoyment of one of our team members.
