Let’s start by saying that I can see why this game has many accolades. The start is hilarious and somewhat menacing. The acting throughout is great, even if they have limited English. Much better than our Spanish!
Some of the puzzles are very clever, fun to complete and makes you feel like a kid again.
The only gripes for me, which I think is due to its age, is the number of padlocks and signposting. The padlocks are old and there are a lot of them. It’s hard to know which clue works with which puzzle. That led to some frustration.
For any non Spanish players, one tip, try to memorise a phone number for someone not in the room. In may come in handy.
Would still highly recommend.

“La Peluquería” (The Hairdresser) was the winner at this year’s Escape Room Awards in Spain. Nominated in 7 of 8 categories, it ended up with 3 first places (best escape game, best experience, best riddles) and a third place (most original game). Of course, I couldn’t miss it when I was in Valencia.
X-Door also runs two other rooms, “The Last Dragon” (a humorous GoT theme) and the horror game “The Dark Years”, which we had already played on our last visit.
Forget the Barber of Seville, because the only thing that’s hot right now is the Star Hairdresser of Valencia. Stars and starlets from all over the world, politicians, actors and musicians come to Remigio to be styled.
Pictures with thank-you notes from his most famous clients adorn the walls of the tranquil salon in droves and bear witness to the genius of the Majestro.
From Elvis, who regularly had his quiff styled here, to Hugh Jackman, whose beard and distinctive wolf’s quiff need to be brought into shape before the next X-Men film, to absolute trendsetters like Boris Johnson or Donald Trump.
