First Exit game I’ve done with the jigsaw element and it gave us a few hours entertainment. And of the puzzles were very clever and others extremely frustrating (and tenuous as my partner has asked me to add). Even when we needed hints though we were going in the right direction at least. We’ve found since doing the two advent calendars that we are a bit more on the same wave length of the designers. Look forward to playing some more of their longer puzzles!

“The Deserted Lighthouse” does an excellent job in packing a lot of gameplay into a
small package. The artwork was filled with clues that fit within the story and theme
beautifully while also providing challenge using a variety of puzzle types. The dimness
of some of the puzzle pieces does require good lighting while you play. I think this is a
great game to play with friends as you can easily work together on each puzzle. There
were quite a few times where I and my partner uncovered a piece of the puzzle to then
come together with the all awesome “aha” moment! If you love the idea of the format of
these games but are looking for a bit more adventure, check out our review of “The
Sacred Temple!”
