We have done a lot of the best rated rooms in the UK, and this is probably the best room we have ever done. The set is a different level and so well built, and the puzzles are logical and varied. If you visit Malta you have to go here.

Brilliant high intensity escape room. Adrenaline fuelled throughout! Relatively straightforward puzzles but with constant fear is made complex. Highly recommend this room and will definitely be back to try their 3rd room when launched. Recommend not to bring people who are easily scared as the whole team will suffer. Epic room and extremely well ran by a brilliant gamesmaster.

Blooming loved this!

Yes, we've seen pirates done before loads of times but this game is not your traditional game. This time we've been captured and are chained up in The Brig to await our fate. We have an hour to escape before we make friends with the hangman.

This room needs lots of teamwork and great communication in order to get everyone unlocked and to escape in time. I don't want to give any spoilers at all but the way we are all locked into place means that puzzles are solved by the person nearest to them with some help from the rest of the team.

Huge credit to the GM (who was also the creator of this game - we chatted to him a lot afterwards) for his brilliant sense of humour, top notch outfit and excellent acting. The puzzles are clever and beautifully made (and we definitely needed some hints to make it out in time).

The styling is great, the immersion is spot on (loved the sound effects) and it's in a ground floor shop front so you can see the passers by and they can see you which was amusing.

We had so much fun playing this, it's a cracking game.

nice hostbroken techoverpricedquite easy

Broken screens, buttons that do nothing, odd story but lovely host! They're very lucky to have such great staff! Based on this experience I wouldnt be inclined to try any of the others sadly. The clue system is over a speaker and the lights are glaring off some posters so its very difficult to see the info you need.

One of those rooms that keeps going. A good mix of old fashioned analogue and a bit of higher tech stuff. Some good funny surprise moments.

story-drivenfamily friendly

This was our 4th visit to Sudbury Escape Rooms and every time I’ve been impressed with the theming, and quality of the build of the rooms. No tech was broken, the puzzles didn’t look tired or worn.

On the whole it was a good room. Very linear and the escape was very much one lock at a time. The live actor part for me didn’t add to the experience and could been improved.

On the whole, enjoyable and family friendly. Our team was 2 adults and 2 early teens. All members were able to contribute and be heavily involved in the game.

magicalbacons expert reviewed Tropical Trouble by Island Quest Escape Rooms:
Rated between 4.5 and 4.5 out of 5

Having visited Island Quest on previous holidays to Lanzarote, we of course had to return for their latest creation!
Tropical Trouble has a fun tropical vibe to it with a sort of element of cluedo/who-done-it to enjoy. Rather than a traditional game of complete the tasks & complete the mission, we were additionally tasked with collecting pieces of evidence in order to solve a crime at the end! We really enjoyed this little twist and it definitely got our brains working!
The decor is very cute, colourful and tropical with puzzles integrated into the decor seamlessly.
The puzzles aren't anything to complicated, but there's a good variety of puzzles and tasks, presented in amusing and unexpected ways.
Whilst the owners bill this game as an "intermediate" level, I'd say there's enough for more experienced players to enjoy in this room regardless!

A decent room that ultimately suffers from the quality of the other games at LockedIn. The puzzles were fun, albeit basic, and most of the difficulty came from finding the key information/ objects as opposed to actually solving something logical. No puzzles we came across were unique necessarily and I think that made the room easier to escape because it was less puzzle computing and more memory recollection.

That being said the set piece was immersive and the host was lovely. It would be a decent room on its own, but it slightly underwhelms compared to LockedIn's other games (Chapel of Unrest and Chocolocked).
