A short-lived popup in the North of London proves that you can put together an escape room on a limited budget, if you choose a venue carefully and take advantage of it to set the scene. A team to watch out for in the future!
The question of place in escape rooms is an interesting one. How much does the location look and feel like whatever the story and theme call it to be? Itβs often a cheat. Themes around prisons, old bunkers and abandoned offices are common because, well, they look run-down and dilapidated because theyβre meant to be, right? Not because no one bothers to clean them or fix the props.
A strongly linear adventure with impeccable theming. Limited light means a need to concentrate carefully. Despite being Omescapeβs lowest-difficulty room, itβs not one for new players. Puzzles, technology, and build quality are excellent with virtually no reliance on padlocks and not a key in sight. Five players is probably too many.
